Why You Need to Work Harder?

There are some people who choose minimalism as a means to escape work. While I understand the appeal, I am not one of them. I enjoy work hard. I find happiness and joy in it. And I believe, without a doubt in my mind, those who feel the most fulfilled at the end of their lives are those who have chosen to work hard during it.

Now, just to be clear, I am not advocating to be busy just to be busy. I am advocating for the importance of doing your work (whether paid or unpaid) in a focused and deliberate way, putting your whole self into it. Doing the best, you can, to accomplish the most you can, with the one life you’ve got.

But if one has chosen minimalism as a lifestyle, where do we find the motivation to learn how to work hard? After all, if we are content to own less (even prefer it), what is the point of hard work and striving for success?

If the goal of work isn’t to earn more and more money so we can buy bigger and bigger houses and fancier and more expensive cars, then what’s the point? If we’ve chosen to measure life’s success in more important terms than material possessions, why would we choose to work hard?

Hard work motivates and rewards you

Being a hard worker is rewarding. When we work hard, we can see our success and achievements. And the whole process of hard work can be a reward in itself that can help you become a better person and keep you moving in the right direction.

Success isn’t everything, but seeing how far you’ve come is motivating. Especially with big projects such as going back to school or working hard to snag a promotion at work.

It helps you develop self-discipline

Hard work means that you are able to develop your self-discipline over time. Procrastination can set you up for failure when trying to achieve the simplest tasks.

Giving in to distractions can lead to idleness, but the opposite is true, also. When you are focused on being a good worker self-discipline will follow. It’s another reason why hard work is key to success!

And in addition to discipline, you can gain other good qualities such as patience and persistence. The character quality of self-discipline can also be useful for sticking to your financial and personal goals.

Work hard guaranteed achievement

Determination guarantees achievement. Without hard work, it is not possible to be an odd one out and achieve something that you have always wanted. Even those who fail initially ends up winning at last if they don’t leave the hand of hard work. If you are just starting, take a look at some secrets to quit dreaming and start achieving.

Gets you the respect you always wanted

You can always see someone around you, a cousin, a friend, or a classmate who is respected everywhere. His presence is appreciated, his views are taken seriously and people strive to maintain better relations with that person, and without questioning everyone on this planet wants it. We want everyone around us to give us a level of respect and value our opinions. Hard work and building self-esteem fetch us this very thing. No matter how successful we are or are going to be successful, people always appreciate those who work hard and know what they’re capable of doing.

Surround yourself with other people

No man is an island. In order to pursue your goals with everything you have, it’s helpful to be around other people who are working just as hard. Whether it’s coworkers who inspire you on the job or a group of like-minded friends you meet up with afterward, it’s important to have peers who push you to succeed. The saying goes, you’re the average of the 5 people you hang out with most — so surround yourself with HARD workers! Who do you know that is going places? Start hanging around them.”
